How to pray the Rosary

The Rosary is a meditation on the life of Jesus with Mary, one bead at a time. You don't need to pray perfectly. If your mind wanders, gently come back to the prayer.

1. On the crucifix: make the Sign of the Cross and pray the Apostles' Creed.
2. On the first large bead: pray the Our Father.
3. On the three small beads: pray three Hail Marys, for an increase in faith, hope and charity.
4. Then: pray the Glory Be.
5. For each of the five decades: announce the mystery, pray the Our Father on the large bead, ten Hail Marys on the small beads, then the Glory Be and the Fatima Prayer. While you pray, picture the scene of the mystery.
6. At the end: pray the Hail, Holy Queen and the closing prayer, and make the Sign of the Cross.
